Founder & CEO | Neo Gold Entertainment/Music Group LLC
Khalilah “Queen Ms. K” Washington is the first recognized Black Muslim woman to own and operate her own hip-hop record label—a groundbreaking achievement that has redefined what leadership looks like in the music industry. Raised in Strong Island, New York, Queen Ms. K witnessed the birth and rise of hip-hop culture firsthand. From park jams to platinum plaques, she’s seen the evolution of the genre—and chose not just to be a part of it, but to leave her own legacy within it.
Her decision to create Neo Gold Entertainment/Music Group LLC was more than bold—it was visionary. In an industry still dominated by men and secular narratives, Queen Ms. K’s leadership represents a seismic shift. As a Black Muslim woman, her presence alone challenges stereotypes, but her ownership and impact go further—paving a new lane for Muslim women in entertainment. She didn’t wait for access. She built the infrastructure, opening doors that will allow others to walk through and eventually take it even further.
What sets Queen Ms. K and Neo Gold apart is purpose. Her work is rooted not in profit, but in people. Development and well-being—spiritual, mental, and artistic—are central to everything she does. Inspired by her son and fueled by love for the culture, she has cultivated a label that stands on three powerful pillars:
- Mental Health Advocacy – breaking stigmas and promoting wellness in an industry known for its emotional toll.
- Anti-Violence Mission – using music as a tool for peace, healing, and empowerment.
- Purpose-Driven Artist Development – guiding talent to not only succeed, but evolve as individuals, creators, and leaders.
Neo Gold is more than a music label—it’s a movement built on faith, legacy, and vision, with Khalilah “Queen Ms. K” Washington leading the way. Her story creates a lasting blueprint for Muslim women and future generations to thrive and lead with purpose in spaces where they’ve long been underrepresented.

The Marathon Behind the Movement
Khalilah “Queen Ms. K” Washington is a passionate music executive whose mission extends far beyond the charts. With a deep love for music and a genuine commitment to helping others thrive, she founded Neo Gold Entertainment/Music Group LLC—a pro-artist company focused on artist management, development, bookings, and full-service record label support.
In 2015, while building the foundation of Neo Gold, Queen Ms. K was also making her mark in media as a publicist for Mighty G Force Radio Soul (GFN Radio Soul). Her journey progressed as she stepped into broadcasting, launching and hosting her own show, “Queen’s Corner With Ms. K,” alongside her co-host and mentor, Supreme Master DJ Wayne Gee—founder of G-Force Crew (GFC) and GFN Radio.
On Queen’s Corner, she interviewed and connected with a wide range of high-profile guests and cultural icons, including Angie Stone, Cheryl The Pearl, Tamika Scott (Xscape), Stevie D. (Force MDs), Tony Tone (HBO comedian), Azia (Hustle in Brooklyn), MempHiTz, Slikk Muzik (multi-platinum Grammy Award-winning producer), Rakim, PMD (of EPMD), Smif-N-Wessun, Craig G (Juice Crew), Mr. Cheeks, Cutlord Swift, John Jigg$, and the MXNXPXLY Family, Shon Brown for JMusic Productions Studio, among others—including authors, poets, politicians, and emerging creatives.
Her collaboration with DJ Wayne Gee began through a mutual connection, Benny Hill (GFC), in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. Recognizing her potential, Wayne shared words that helped define her path:
“I may not have what you deserve financially, but I can give you knowledge. I can give you a platform. And with that, you’ll be able to stand on your own two feet—and become a successful Black business owner in the music industry.”
Those words became the catalyst for a powerful shift. Today, Queen Ms. K stands as a respected music entrepreneur who built Neo Gold not just as a label, but as a platform where artistry, mental wellness, and community empowerment converge. Her work continues to inspire a new generation of leaders, especially Black Muslim women, to pursue ownership and impact in an industry that often overlooks them.

A Legacy Built on Purpose and Perseverance
Khalilah “Queen Ms. K” Washington’s journey has truly been a marathon—a path shaped by years of dedication, study, and strategic growth. She has invested deeply in mastering all aspects of the music industry, including artist development, radio, marketing, and event planning. Throughout this journey, she has forged vital industry relationships and introduced innovative ideas designed to leave a lasting impact.
Beyond her entrepreneurial accomplishments, community service remains a cornerstone of her mission. She has led food and clothing giveaways and previously served as a member of the Irving District Community Committee. She is also an alumna of the Irving 360 Civic Academy, a distinction that highlights her commitment to civic engagement and local leadership. Her passion for mentoring youth stems from her belief that empowering the next generation is one of the most meaningful ways to give back. This commitment is visibly honored in a featured image of Queen Ms. K alongside City of Irving Mayor Rick Stopfer during the 360 Civic Academy award ceremony.
Currently, Queen Ms. K is focused on developing AJ Chaka, a rising talent with the originality, character, and global appeal of a future superstar. With a steadily growing international fan base, AJ Chaka is forging his own lane—and Neo Gold is proud to support his ascent as the company expands into international ventures.
Looking ahead, Queen Ms. K is pursuing strategic partnerships aimed at transitioning Neo Gold into a boutique label with major-label support. Her long-term vision is to elevate the brand while remaining deeply rooted in authenticity and artist-first values.
At the core of Neo Gold’s identity is a clear, unwavering principle:
“We are pro-artist—always.”
Every decision is made with the artist’s well-being, growth, and legacy in mind.
More than just music, the mission is anchored in purpose. It actively champions mental health awareness and proudly advances the “STOP THE VIOLENCE” campaign—an initiative launched by Neo Gold in the fall of 2022. Now a core pillar of Neo Gold’s vision, this movement continues to grow by amplifying voices that speak to truth, healing, and transformation.
Through this work, Ms. K is breaking barriers and reshaping the narrative—showing the world what hip-hop culture can become when it’s rooted in community, consciousness, and true impact.
